Frequently asked questions
Do I have to open BidBellApp to add auctions?
No. Bid or watch on eBay – website or app, as always. New auctions appear in your calendar by themselves within … minutes.
Which eBay site do the calendar links open?
Your own eBay site (for example eBay.de or eBay.co.uk). You can choose another one on My BidBellApp → Settings → Open listings on; all upcoming entries are updated.
Why do I see the BidBellApp calendars twice?
This can happen after you removed BidBellApp's access in your Google account and connected again. BidBellApp can only manage the calendars it can see through its current connection, so it may have created new ones. The old calendars are no longer updated: delete them in Google Calendar (point at the calendar in the left list → ⋮ → Settings and sharing → Delete).
I deleted a calendar and it came back. Why?
While your free trial or subscription runs, BidBellApp recreates its calendars so your auctions keep showing up: the next time it has an entry to add or change, or at once when you press Sync now. To stop seeing a calendar, hide it in Google Calendar (untick it in the left list), or switch off that list on My BidBellApp → Settings. If you switch off the watch list, the Watch list calendar is not recreated.
Why is an auction missing or late?
BidBellApp checks your bids and watch list every … minutes; Sync now on My BidBellApp checks at once. Only the … auctions ending soonest on each list are seen; later ones appear when earlier ones have ended. Buy It Now listings appear only if you switched them on.
The entry says 18:23, but the auction ends at 18:23:59. Why?
Google Calendar has no seconds, so the entry starts at the minute the auction ends. The exact end time, with seconds, is in the entry's description.
My free trial or subscription ended. What happens to my calendars?
Nothing is deleted. Your calendars and entries stay exactly as they are; BidBellApp just stops adding and updating entries. When you buy a subscription, it continues with the same calendars.
I bought a subscription but don't see it.
Purchases are found automatically within a few minutes. Make sure you signed in at … with the same eBay account you bought with. If you changed your eBay username recently, sign in with eBay again on My BidBellApp. If you bought with another eBay account, message the seller on eBay.
I bought a subscription without signing up first.
Sign in at … with the eBay account you bought with: the months are added automatically. If you don't sign up within … days, the purchase is refunded.
My BidBellApp says “Google Calendar is not connected”. Why?
Google no longer accepts BidBellApp's access, for example because it was removed in your Google account. Your calendars and entries stay. Press “Connect Google Calendar” on My BidBellApp: BidBellApp finds its calendars again and continues.
What is the entry “🔔 BidBellApp: sign in with eBay again”?
eBay sign-ins for apps expire after a long time (about a year and a half). The entry sits on the day yours expires, and Google Calendar e-mails you … before. Sign in with eBay again on My BidBellApp before that day: the entry then moves to the new date. If you do nothing, BidBellApp stops seeing your auctions on that day.
Can BidBellApp bid or buy for me?
No. It can only read your bid list and watch list. It cannot bid, buy, sell or change anything in your eBay account.
Can BidBellApp see my other calendars?
No. Google gives BidBellApp access only to the calendars BidBellApp created itself.
How do I remove BidBellApp completely?
On My BidBellApp → Delete account: both calendars, Google access and your data are deleted. BidBellApp also asks eBay to end its access, but eBay may still list it: to be sure, remove BidBellApp in your eBay account settings (Sign in and security → Third-party app access).
