Who we are

BidBellApp (…) puts the end times of the eBay auctions you bid on or watch into your Google Calendar. This policy explains which data BidBellApp uses, why, and for how long. BidBellApp is not affiliated with eBay or Google.

What BidBellApp uses

From eBay

• Your permanent eBay user id and your eBay username (to know who you are).
• The auctions on your bid list and watch list: item number, title, end time, listing type and link.
• Access tokens that let BidBellApp read these lists. BidBellApp can only read; it cannot bid, buy, sell or change anything in your eBay account.

From Google

• A token for the Google Calendar permission “only the calendars this app creates”. BidBellApp creates two calendars and writes entries into them. It cannot see or change your other calendars or events, your e-mail or your contacts.

Your settings

• What to track, your reminders, your time zone, and when BidBellApp last checked your lists.
• A short activity list (for example “2 new entries”), the newest … entries.
• Subscription purchases, which BidBellApp finds in the seller's own eBay sales of the subscription listings: eBay order number, item number, buyer username, time, number of months, and whether it was refunded.

BidBellApp does not use your e-mail address, your address, your payment details or your purchase history beyond the BidBellApp subscription listings.

Why

Only to provide the service you asked for: keeping your two BidBellApp calendars in step with your eBay lists, applying your subscription, and showing you your account. There is no advertising, no profiling, no selling of data, and no newsletters. BidBellApp sends no e-mails itself: reminder e-mails come from Google Calendar (because you chose them), purchase e-mails from eBay.

Where the data is stored

Account data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database; the program runs on Cloudflare and Microsoft Azure. eBay and Google tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are stored. Connections use HTTPS only.

How long

• While your account exists, the data above is kept.
• Calendar rows of auctions that ended more than a day ago are deleted automatically.
• When you delete your account on “My BidBellApp”, BidBellApp deletes both calendars with all their entries, revokes its Google access, deletes your eBay tokens and deletes all your data in its database.
• Two things are kept, without your name: a one-way code (HMAC-SHA256) of your eBay user id for … days, so that the free trial can be used only once per eBay account; and your subscription purchases without your username or account (only order number, item, date and months) for … days, so that a purchase cannot be counted twice. The one-way code cannot be turned back into your eBay id.
• A subscription bought by someone who has not signed up yet waits for … days with the buyer's username, so the months can be added at sign-up. After that it is refunded through eBay; the username is deleted once the refund is done.

eBay account deletion

If you close your eBay account, eBay informs BidBellApp, and your BidBellApp account and data are deleted as described above. Your two calendars stay in your Google account, because they are your own Google data; you can delete them in Google Calendar.

Removing access yourself

• Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions → BidBellApp → remove access.
• eBay: Account settings → Sign in and security → Third-party app access (on some sites: Permissions) → remove BidBellApp. eBay has no way for apps to remove their own access, so this step is yours even after deleting your BidBellApp account.

Google API Services User Data Policy

BidBellApp's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your rights

You can see your settings and activity on “My BidBellApp”, change them, and delete your account at any time. For questions, a copy of your data or any other privacy request, contact us through eBay messages to the seller of the BidBellApp subscription listings.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes. Important changes are shown on “My BidBellApp”.
